Anyone who wants to understand how the elements that create a feeling of connection with their supervisor and peers within their workplace. Especially valuable for anyone who is responsible for leading people or on a development track for leading people.

OVERVIEW

LINK helps individuals identify, develop, refine, and deliver the common elements that create a feeling of connection in the workplace. Research proves that people who feel connected to their supervisor and peers are more engaged, enjoy their work more and deliver higher results long term. This LINK course helps employees understand the two main aspects of feeling connected to those in the workplace; first, the professional aspect which includes how you see your role, scope, communication, objectives and performance. Second, the personal aspect which includes how you, your boss and peers view all the aspects of our work that we cannot define on the professional side. This course is NOT a course on how to "manage up". It does include some elements of managing your "personal brand"; however, we draw a distinction between managing up, which we believe can easily include manipulation and your brand which is an outcome of your behaviors, your feedback and your development.

  • Improved understanding and the ability to ask and answer, "Does my boss know what I do?" "Does my boss know how well I do it?"
  • Improved communication techniques that help us connect by learning what motivates you and what work you feel strong and weak in
  • Improved skills to understand what your long term motivations are and how they impact your work and development (nurture)
  • Improved skills and the ability to ask and answer, "Does my boss care about me?" "Does the company value my contribution?"

DELIVERY

This program may be delivered within the instructor led online module in a stand alone approach or, in a blended approach which includes the online module combined with onsite learning by one of our instructors.

Online: Approximately 10-15 hours of online learning delivered over a 2 week period
Blended: Online learning + 8 or 16 hours Face to face delivered over 1, 2 or 3 day sessions

REINFORCEMENT

This development class includes proven ways to transfer learning, knowledge and skills to the workplace. Enhanced coaching, reinforcement tools and processes are also available.
