How We Do It

We have a flexible, adaptable system that we configure to your situation. Almost every business has very similar needs when it comes to creating highly engaged employees. So we have all the components you need, then we work with you to see what will work best, fastest and create a long term change in results. Those components include:
- Measurement: Our surveys are a great way to find out how you're doing and how you compare to other organizations. They don't take a long time to produce and are actionable; yes, with or without us. We usually start with surveys at the beginning of our work with you and then re-measure along the way to see how your business is progressing
- Learning and development: Our learning and development focuses on skills and behaviors that are proven to be employee engagement improvers. We call our system, "L.I.R.N./E.M.C." We teach people how to:
- (L) Link or "connect and understand" employees, peers and leaders within the business
- (I) Involve or help employees, peers and leaders contribute in ways meaningful to them
- (R) Recognize or help employees, peers and leaders be rewarded, affirmed and appreciated
- (N) Nurture or help employees, peers and leaders be developed in ways that win for the employee and the business
We teach this model through a framework & skill set of:
- (E) Emotional Intelligence or recognizing and managing the emotions in ourselves and others
- (M) Mindset or the interpretation of beliefs, assumptions and stories we hold in our minds of ourselves, others and situations
- (C) Constructive Communication or framing and guiding communication to shared agreements
- Learning Approaches: We use three methods to bring effective learning and development to your business. Those are:
- Online learning; using a learning management system with classroom(s) where students interact with course content, instructors and other students. Students bring and work real issues with their peers to acquire and retain new thinking, skills and behaviors
- Blended learning; which incorporates our online learning with face-to-face instruction. This approach is used by companies when they want to reinforce changes in results or have a change management initiative they are implementing
- Coaching; providing observation, feedback and reinforcement to build new levels of engagement in employees, peers and leaders within the business
- Learning Tools: We use tools in almost all of these areas. Tools help us all to learn more rapidly, develop skills that are repeatable and scalable across teams, departments and companies and improve and refine those skills even more over time. From the "front end" of the employee engagement process, the creation of priorities that are employee contributed and driven, to the "back end" encompassing performance management systems, we have online tools within our learning management system to help you with your "how".
